Registrar’s Directive:
Changes to funeral and visitation attendance

June 13, 2020
Effective immediately –
As per the provincial government’s announcement today, the COVID-19 maximum attendance restriction has been changed to a 30 per cent capacity rule for funerals and visitations.

The number of people allowed to attend an indoor funeral ceremony is a maximum of 30 per cent of the capacity of  a designated room in the funeral home or venue.
Funeral services taking place outdoors will be limited to 50 attendees.

Everyone must follow proper health and safety advice, including physical distancing of two metres from people who are not from the same household or their established 10-person social circle.

From Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home

Please  remember that Covid - 19 is still prevalent in York Region and as such we must still be diligent and follow  all the social distancing rules. We have come a long way and as much as it is important for families to be able to gather and grieve together , we must still refrain from hugging, kissing and handshaking, stay 2 metres ( 6 feet) apart, if you are not from the same family or designated social circle.  The virus is still out there, so if you feel sick, please stay home.  To everyone out there, thank you for your patience and understanding, these have been tough times on all of us.  If you have questions or are concerned give us a call our phone is answered 24/7 and we are here to help you.

To all all the families who have lost a loved one in our Georgina community, in our province and even in Canada, we offer our sincerest condolences.
