Bodkin, Audrey Marie (nee Joyce)
"Heaven needed an Angel...and early on Valentine's Day Audrey Bodkin was picked to join 'Heaven's Angel Team”.
Audrey was already an 'angel' here on earth. Loved dearly by her husband Dean, daughters Elizabeth Bodkin (Shobhit) and Kathryn Tyrell (Chris) along with stepson Matthew (Lesley), and grandchildren Sedona and Alex. Loving daughter of John and Leona Joyce (both deceased). Sister to Barbara (Harry dec.) and Gloria (Paul), Bill (Karol) and Ernie (dec)) and many nieces and nephews, also loved by Dean's brother Andrew (Anne) and sister Trudy (Ian-dec). Audrey was an outstanding educator at Morning Glory P.S. who enjoyed most her leadership and support as teacher-librarian. Audrey had a litany of skills. An artist in a variety of media, a carver of family trees (totems) and soapstone, a capable pianist, skier, swimmer, gardener, sewer, cook and Dean's favourite golfing partner. Audrey travelled the world with Dean, from time to time leaving Dean at home in order to travel with Elizabeth and Kathryn. Florida was an attraction for most of her life, first to visit her mom and dad, then to Dean and Audrey's home in Bradenton near Trudy. Visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, February 18th at the Forrest and Taylor Funeral Home, 20846 Dalton Road, Sutton. Memorial donations to The Brain Cancer Foundation of Canada (www.brain tumour.ca) in Audrey's name would be appreciated by the family . A Celebration of Audrey's Life will be held in the spring with an arts theme. Stay tuned! Memorial condolences may be made at www.forrestandtaylor.com
