Peacefully at home with family by her side on Wednesday, July 28, 2022, at the age of 76 years. Colleen Hammond (nee Dempster), beloved wife of Lee Hammond. Loving mother of Cara Lee Hammond (Joe Mokos), Laura Lee MacIntyre, Georgia Lee Hammond, Lee Hammond Jr., and Christina Perry. Proud grandmother of Courtney MacNab, Jordan MacNab, Kayla MacIntyre, Jenna Forte, Joshua Forte, Diane Burns, and Victoria Hammond. Great-grandmother of Lennon, Gian, Olivia, Anthony, and Catalina. Predeceased by her mother, Mildred Parlee. Loyal friend to Georgina Newell and Carol Johnson. Fondly remembered by her extended family, many friends, and her beloved community. Born in Sussex, New Brunswick, Colleen was a passionate lover and caregiver of animals. She was a strong advocate and supporter of Shades of Hope Wildlife Rescue, Pefferlaw, the Georgina Animal Shelter, Sutton, and the Dogs and Cats of Sosua, Dominican Republic. The family thanks the doctors and nurses who supported them through this difficult time, Doctor MacIntyre and Nurse Theressa, as well as the PSWs. Cremation has taken place.
