1932 -2024
On January 17, 2024 after a brave and lengthy battle with Parkinsons he entered into the forever joy of Heaven with his Saviour, Jesus Christ. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Mary (nee Witherspoon) and by his children Robert Earle (Beth) of the Bahamas, Mary Alice of Ontario and Elliott Moran (Ellie) Carew of Toronto. The blessed grandchildren are Joanna and Jonathan Elliott and Emmett and Hattie Carew. Donald was a proud graduate of Upper Canada College and the University of Toronto. Along with his father W. Earle Elliott, Donald owned two Toronto Funeral Homes. He had a fifty plus year distinguished professional career, serving bereaved families and mentoring new generations of funeral directors. Donald also owned two businesses, the Kettle Creek Canvas Co. (Unionville) and Instant Custom Signs (Markham). Donald served his Lord and Saviour in Willowdale Baptist Church and Bridlewood Presbyterian Church and Bayview Glen Church and Fair Havens Community Church. His gracious and warm kindnesses and good-humoured story telling enriched many lives. Friends will be received at the Hillside Bible Chapel, 195 Atlantis Drive, Orillia, Friday January 26, 2024, 10:00 a.m. visitation, 11:00 a.m. funeral service. Pastor Robert Elliott, officiating.
