SCHRITT, Dorothy (Dot) Jean (nee Pryne)

It is with much sadness our family announces the peaceful passing of our wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Dorothy Schritt, after a brief courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, December 24, 2009, surrounded by her family at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket, at the age of 76 years. Up to the end, Dot continued to laugh and smile. She will be dearly missed by her husband of 55 years Ernie, daughter Norma and son Wade and his wife Debbie. Cherished by her grandsons and great-granddaughter, who she doted with much love, affection and pride. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews and their families. Much loved sister to Shirley (Art), and Jack (Dorothy). Dot was predeceased by her brother Allan (Norma) and sister Velma (Clifford). Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of the Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home, 20846 Dalton Road, Sutton on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 2:30 p.m.. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. A "Celebration of Dot's Life" will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 356, Sutton, following the service. In Dot's honour, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
