Herb was a World War 2 Veteran and served in the Navy.

Peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at the age of 91 years. Herbert, beloved husband of Dorothy (predeceased). Sadly missed and beloved father of Nancy Cook, Pat Thomas (Gary), Lucy Jonkman (Robert), Sandy Sabiston (Steve), John Marshall (Leny) and Joanne Davis (Neil). Remembered with much love by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his good friend Judy Brady. Dear brother of Charles (predeceased) and Violet Talbot. Brother-in-law of Carlie McDonald and Vera Dyer. Fondly remembered by his many family and friends. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Herb's Life will be held at the Cedardale Church of the Nazarene, 471 Pefferlaw Rd, Pefferlaw, on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Cedardale Church of the Nazarene to be used for the Outreach programs that Herb supported would be appreciated by the family.
