Staniscia, Iris (nee Cancian)

August 14th, 1955 - October 7th, 2013

Iris, beloved wife of Dino and caring mother of Luke and Ilana, all of Pefferlaw, passed away early Monday morning at the Southlake Regional Health Center, Newmarket. She is also survived by her loving mother, Ester, and younger brother, Eddy. Predeceased by her father Giacomo and brother George. She leaves behind a legacy of honesty, compassion, perseverance, selflessness, and above all, love. Her warm personality and generous character impacted the lives of us all. She truly made the world a better place and will live on in our hearts forever. Iris' memorial will be held on Friday, October 11th at the Pefferlaw Lion's Hall (38 Pete's Lane). Doors will open at 3pm and the service will begin at 4pm, followed by a reception. An additional service will be held on Thursday, October 17th at the Consolata Missonare (2671 Islington Ave), at 7:30pm.
