Janet Alice Popp/Sefton

Janet Alice Popp/Sefton, nee Johnston, was born on January 5, 1949, in Toronto, Ontario. She passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on February 27, 2025.

Janet was a passionate lover of all animals, and her devotion to them was a defining aspect of her character. Throughout her life, Janet found joy in the company of her animals, reflecting the kindness and compassion she held for all living beings.

She made significant contributions to her community as a longtime member and honourary lifetime member of the Kinette's, showcasing her commitment to service and leadership.

Janet is remembered by her partner, Philip Sefton, and cherished by her family. She leaves behind her sister, Sharon; her daughter, Patricia (Enzo), and her son, Robert (Alyssa) and stepdaughter, Kelly. Janet was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren and a loving great-grandmother to six and a half great-grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Alice; her father, Robert; brother-in-law, Paul, her sister, Donna (Gord); her daughter, Jennifer and stepson, Michael. Janet's life was filled with love, and she will be deeply missed by those who knew her.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers. donations can be made to the Diabetes Association in Janet's memory.
