Former Councilman of Georgina Township, John C. Hastings, born December 1, 1932 in Banff, Scotland died peacefully at Lakeridge Health Centre, Ajax, Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the age of 84 years. John Hastings, beloved husband of the late Rosslyn nee Wiltshire. Dear step-father of Trudy Mason McCreadie (James) of Dearborn, Michigan and James Mason (Joeanne) of Dowling, Ontario. Dear father of Ian Hastings (Denise) of Atlanta, Georgia and Cameron Hastings (Janit) of Toronto. Loving Papa of Ashley Young-Barter (Clayton), James R. Mason (Melissa), Mallory Hastings, Alexis Ragsdale (Kiefer), Daniel and Noah Hastings. Great Grandfather of James, Grayce, Elena, Peyton, Blake and Jakko. Fondly remembered by his extended family and many friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 2:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home, 20846 Dalton Road, Sutton, Ontario 905-722-3274.
