Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous four year battle with cancer at North York General Hospital, on Saturday, September 27, 2008 in her 59th year. Julie Colyer (nee Passien) of Jackson's Point, beloved wife of Brian "Albert" Colyer. Dear sister and best friend of Wendy Sams and her husband Gord of London and Bob Passien and his wife Patti of Chatham. Fondly remembered by her special nieces and nephew ("her kids"), Cari-Anne Passien-Gardner (Gord Gardner), Jennifer Passien-Hudson (Dr. Nick Hudson), Stephanie Sams (Jeff Furler) and Jeff Sams. Julie was a special great auntie to "her babies" Jessica and Mackenzie Furler and William, Harrison and Maddox Hudson. Julie will also be missed by Albert's daughter Bobbi-Anne Colyer and her family as well as aunts, uncles and cousins around the world and many dear friends. She will be dearly missed by her beloved cat, "her beautiful boy Poppy". Cremation has taken place and a private memorial will be held at a later date. Julie's family wishes to sincerely thank Dr. Paul Shuen and the staffs of the Chemotherapy Unit, especially Jana Ailenberg, and 3 West Palliative Care at North York General Hospital. Memorial donations to the North York General Hospital Foundation, Chemotherapy Unit, 4001 Leslie Street, Toronto, Ontario M2K 1E1 would be appreciated by the family.
