June Charpentier, born on December 6, 1938, in Newmarket, Ontario, passed away after a brief battle with cancer on January 4, at Southlake Regional Health Centre. She was a beloved member of her community and a cherished individual to all who knew her.
June was the loving wife of Peter Charpentier and a devoted mother to her two children, Ellen (Roman) and Neil (Colleen). Her family was the center of her world, and she took great pride in the lives of her granddaughters, Julia (Connor) and Claire. June's cherished memories will live on in their hearts.
She is also survived by her brother, Bill Marritt (Ros), who along with her many cousins, nieces, and nephews, will deeply miss her warmth and kindness.
June was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence "Tib" and Violet (nee Abbs) Marritt, who laid the foundation for the caring and compassionate woman she became.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life with a visitation on January 10, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home, located at 20846 Dalton Road, Sutton, Ontario. A funeral service will be held the following day on January 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM, also at the same location. Following the service, June will be laid to rest at St. Anthony Roman Catholic Cemetery, Virginia, where the burial will take place at 11:00 AM. A gathering will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 356, Georgina, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, to honor her life and legacy.
June Charpentier will be remembered for her generosity, love for family, and the countless ways she enriched the lives of those around her. She leaves behind a profound legacy of love and togetherness that will remain with her family and friends.
Donations can be made in June's name to the Canadian Cancer society of a charity of your choice.
