Peacefully at Southlake regional Health Centre, Newmarket, on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at the age of 78 years. Lionel Taylor of Georgina Island beloved husband of Francis (nee York). Dear father of Lynn Mooney and her husband Brett, Carol Taylor, Leonard Taylor and his wife Alayne, Terry Taylor and Tina Taylor (John Baldassarra) all of Georgina Island. Predeceased by his sons Glen and Timothy. Loving grandfather of Sheri, Michael, Leanna, Tyler, Tanisha, Timothy, Kara, Dante, Antonietta and Caleb, great grandfather of Elayna. Fondly remembered by Domenic Iasci. Dear brother of Charlie Porte (Marie) and Bert Porte and brother in law of Carl Shearer, Don York and Shirley Lenhardt. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and friends. Resting at the Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home, 20846 Dalton Road, Sutton, from 7 - 9 p.m. Thursday and in the Georgina Island Community Centre from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Friday. Funeral Service in the Community centre, Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations to the Georgina Island Native United Church would be appreciated by the family.
