We regret to announce the passing of Mary Carmel Humpage (nee Kirkpatrick), wife of the late George William Humpage, in Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket, on July 31, 2014 at the age of 97 years. Mary graduated as a registered nurse from the Mack Training School in St. Catherines in 1940, and was the afternoon nursing supervisor at Green Acres Home for the Aged in Newmarket for over 20 years. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Kathleen Humpage and Patricia (Jim) Burford, her grandchildren, David (Ashley) Burford and Alison (Ryan) Jensen, her great grandchildren Lilly and Easton Jensen, and Mason and Tyson Burford, and her sister-in-law Dorothy Weber. She will also be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors. Resting at the Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home, 20846 Dalton Rd., Sutton, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, August 6th . Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 20916 Dalton Rd., Sutton, Thursday at 11:00 a.m.. Cremation to follow. Interment of cremated remains at a later date, Briar Hill Cemetery, Sutton. Memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
