Peter Joseph Holub, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away suddenly on April 22, 2025, at Southlake Hospital, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on March 8, 1959, in Toronto and lived a life dedicated to family and friends.
Pete was known for his career as a truck driver, operating front loaders, roll offs, and mixers throughout his life. His work ethic was unwavering, but it was his vibrant spirit that truly set him apart. A passionate music lover and talented guitar player, Pete always had a guitar strapped to him, ready for a creative riff or lyric to escape his heart and come through his fingers. He enjoyed sharing stories and always had something to say so the conversation would never end ( if you know you know)
Beyond his dedication to work and music, Pete found joy in the simple pleasures that surrounded him. Whether it was fishing, watching wildlife from his chair under the sun at home, or on the deck watching the chickens and horses at Kristyn's, he embraced every moment with a genuine gratitude and peace one can easily lose sight of.
He adored his family, leaving a lasting legacy through each of them. He is survived by his beloved children: Kristyn (Johnny), Kevin, and Daniel (Jaclyn). He also leaves behind his brother David (Sabrina), his sister Donna Marie, and his cherished grandchildren Analisa, Victoria, Jaxson, Nathaniel, and Jonathon. He is remembered fondly by his niece Ashley (Leniyah, Myles, Layla) and nephews John and Luke. Additionally, Peter had a deep connection with his dear friend and companion, Kathy, who added joy to his life.
Peter is predeceased by his loving parents, Joseph Holub and Jeannette Le Breton. Their memories live on through him and in the hearts of all those he touched throughout his life.
Peter's legacy will forever be cherished in the laughter and memories shared with family and friends. He leaves behind a world enriched by his music, stories, and the gentle reminder to appreciate every simple pleasure life has to offer. His spirit and warm heart will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
