Bramboek, Robert (Bob)
Formerly of Sutton, died peacefully at Amica, Newmarket, on Saturday, December 24, 2022 at the age of 84 years. Predeceased by his wife, Laraine Ethel Bramboek, in 2004. Also predeceased by two of his three step-children, Henry Walker and Veronica Adair. Survived by his step-daughter, Betty Desjardins (Leonard) of Orangeville. Bob was born in Tegernesee, Bavaria, Germany, to parents, Josef Bramboek and Katharina Bramboek (nee Feiersinger). He emigrated to Canada as a child and worked as a driver at Brewer's Retail in the GTA. Bob was a solitary man and mostly kept to himself. He loved crossword puzzles, blue cheese, and liverwurst. Bob lived at Cedarvale Lodge from 2015 to 2022 and was greatly appreciative of the friendships he formed with staff and residents alike. He was saddened to leave Cedarvale and hoped his health would improve so he could one day return. At his request, cremation has not been delayed and there will be no formal service. Friends and acquaintances are encouraged to spend a moment reflecting on their own memories of this quiet man of few words. A special thanks to the staff at Amica Newmarket who cared for Bob during his final months. Memorial condolences may be made at www.forrestandtaylor.com.
