Peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Center, Newmarket, on Sunday, August 30, 2015 in her 103rd year. Sophie Fairbarn (nee Litner) beloved wife of the late Bruce Fairbarn. Dear mother of Gloria Cole (Wally Burnie) and Allen Alsop (Dianne) all of Newmarket. Predeceased by her son in law John Cole. Loving grandmother of Sheila (Steve), David (Angela), and Stephen (Sara) and G.G. of Eric, Colin, Jacob, and Emma. Predeceased by her siblings David, Rose Cowley and Harold. Fondly remembered by her niece, nephews and their families. Resting at the Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home, 20846 Dalton Road, Sutton, from 7 – 9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral Service in the chapel Friday at 1:30 p.m. Interment, Briar Hill Cemetery, Sutton. Memorial donations to Arthritis Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
