It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stefanie Lynn Atyeo, who left this world peacefully on January 1st, 2025, at the young age of 47. Stefanie was surrounded by love as she passed, with her family by her side.
Stefanie will be remembered as a lively and dynamic character who was unafraid to do things her own way. She had a love of art, showing skill in painting and sketching. She is remembered as living life out loud and being funny and outgoing by her friends and family.
Stefanie was born April 21, 1977 in Newmarket, Ontario to Jane Andrews and Frank Atyeo Sr. She grew up in the Sutton area, graduating from Sutton High School in 1996. Stefanie went on to live and work in the Sutton and Keswick area, becoming a mother to her two children. In 2013 Stefanie earned her diploma as an Optician from Seneca College, all while working and raising her family as a fiercely proud and hard-working single mother.
She will be missed for a lifetime by her children Madeline (Maddy) Atyeo and Reece Atyeo, her mother Jane Andrews, her father Frank Atyeo, her stepfather Chris Andrews, her brother Frank Atyeo, her stepsisters Carie Cryderman, Ann Patterson and Sara Andrews and by her extended family and close friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday January 11th at the Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home located at 20846 Dalton Road, Sutton, ON, L0E 1R0 from1-4pm, with a Service of Remembrance at 2pm.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Belinda’s Place.
