Thomas Everett O'Neill

1953 — 2024

Thomas Everett O'Neill, a cherished father and grandfather, peacefully departed this life surrounded by his beloved daughters on October 29, 2024, at the age of 71. Born on September 15, 1953, in Sutton, Ontario, Thomas dedicated a significant part of his career as a Senior Inspector at the Ministry of Transportation, where he was respected for his dedication and expertise.

As a devoted father, Thomas was affectionately known as the "Best Girl Dad." His love for his daughters, Andrea Rumgay, Amanda O'Neill, and Heather Antle, was unfaltering, and his bond with them served as a guiding light in their lives. He took immense joy in sharing memorable experiences with them on their road trips top Florida, camping at Beausoleil Island, and particularly through his love for music; he often played guitar and sang for his daughters and grandchildren, creating cherished memories that will live on in their hearts.

In addition to his role as a father, Thomas was a proud grandfather to his grandchildren—Jayden, Jocelyn, Leah, Samantha, Lily, Lucy, and Spencer. His presence in their lives was marked by warmth, laughter, and a gentle spirit. He took delight in spending time with them, whether it was through boating adventures or simply enjoying the company of family.

The community and all who had the pleasure of knowing Thomas will remember him fondly for his kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family. He leaves behind his ex-wife, Sandra Twynam, daughters, grandchildren, siblings, and extended family, all of whom feel the profound impact of his absence.

Visitation to honor Thomas's life will be held on November 1, 2024, at Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home in Sutton, Ontario, from 5:00 PM until 6:30 PM, followed by a memorial service at 6:30 PM with a reception to follow. As we remember Thomas Everett O'Neill, we celebrate a life rich in love, laughter, and memorable moments shared with family and friends.

Donations in Thomas' memory can be made to the Huntington Society of Canada.
